Welcome to Pythons’ Pit

Pythons’ Pit provides an avenue for creative, entrepreneurial students of Halton Region to pitch their business concepts and product ideas in front of a live audience and a panel of real business moguls from the community for the chance to take home up to $3,500.

The goal of Pythons’ Pit is to foster innovation, creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit in Halton Region by providing an opportunity for high school students to further develop their networking and business planning skills. Students will learn how to make a 3-minute pitch and will be given access to a network of key community influencers to help guide them in this journey. With eight entrepreneurs making the initial cut, only three will pitch to the Pythons in the live event taking place on May 15, 2019 at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.

The Contest

Young entrepreneurs from Halton Region high schools are invited to pitch their business ideas and concepts to a panel of highly-successful judges, in the hopes of taking home a cash prize. To help them succeed, they receive key business mentorship from community business volunteers.

The Pythons

Meet our panel of experts! All of our pythons are successful entrepreneurs from the community of Halton offering strong business and networking advice to all of our competitors. Volunteering their time, the Pythons will help determine who ultimately will be the last contestant standing in The Pit!
