Can I come and watch Pythons’ Pit?

Yes- the live show will be on May 22nd at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre at 6:30pm. The event is free and general seating is first come first served. Please come and support these incredible students.

Why should I apply?

If you are a Halton region high school student and you have a unique idea that you think is worth exploring, then you should enter. This contest will teach you invaluable skills that will help you in your careers and more importantly it exposes you to a great network of people.

When do I know if I am selected?

Top 15 will be announced on Jan 20th 2018.

Do I have to attend the pitch preparation camps?

Yes, these are mandatory. The camps are from 5-9pm at Tech Place, 5500 N Service Rd, Burlington
Pitch Camps are on Feb 1 and Feb 8. These are a great opportunity for you to get mentorship and advice.

Who are the mentors?

The mentors are all established business people in the community who are volunteering their time to help you with your pitch to the Pythons. Please take advantage of their help and start building your network.

Do I get practise pitch opportunities?

Yes- there are 2 MANDATORY pitch practise sessions as well. Feb 28th and March 21st at Tech Place at 6pm. If you need transportation please give us advance notice by sms to 289-259-8132
When do the Top 10 get selected?

Top 15 will pitch to a screening panel on March 28th at Tech Place at 6pm. Top 10 will be announced on March 29th.

When do I pitch to the Pythons?

Top 10 will pitch to the Pythons in studio on Sat April 7th from 9am – 6pm. This will be the first time you will see the Pythons. The Pythons will select the top 3 and then the top 3 will pitch to the live audience on May 22nd.

How much money can I win?

The prize purse is $7,500 distributed amongst 1st, 2nd and 3rd. At the live show on May 22nd, the cheques will be presented and the Pythons will determine the winners after the live show.

Will my pitch be recorded?

YES! Your studio pitch will be recorded and will be published online. This is an excellent way to build a profile and a great addition to your resume.
